Black sunflower seeds have a high oil content, making them highly nutritious. Their thin shells are easy for small birds to crack open.
They're a good cheap alternative to sunflower hearts, but will produce more mess under the feeder as the birds discard the husks.
Suitable for: Table, ground and hanging feeders
Attracts: Wide range of seed eating birds, including finches, sparrows, dunnocks, tits, woodpeckers, nuthatch etc.
