Eggs can be too fresh! Best to leave in the tray for a few days before use. Fresh boiled eggs will not shell cleanly and the white (albumen) tends to be 'flaky' when fried.
When storing eggs in a tray, store 'pointy' end down. This is because the air cell in an egg is located at the large end, so less moisture will evaporate out of the egg and they will retain freshness for longer.
It is vital to worm your poultry and dogs regularly as they do pass worm larvae between each other. I use 'Flubenvet' for the hens, then I know the job is done properly.

It might be tedious, but it really is important to keep feeders and water containers clean. There is a nasty mould that grows on foul food and this kills many birds.
It is a fallacy that birds feed whole peanuts to their young causing death by choking. Birds really are not that daft. It is good to feed a 'Fledgling' food especially during a cold spring when many fledgling die because of a lack of insects.
Many bird species are struggling to adapt to our modern world. Lack of productive foraging area and good safe nest sites are big issues.
